July 26, 200223 yr Okay, so I got the thing installed and I'm making plenty of smoking holes in the ground (I'll work on making it fly right as soon as I start hearing things).I downloaded up_dauphinsound.zip from the library and believe I've followed the Docs instructions on installing the sounds (renamed to he4.wav and xhe4.wav, and didn't mess with the sound.cfg). Made sure the dauphin.cfg is in the main FS2002 directory.Landing gear extension/retraction works (though with a hefty framerate pause). Touchdown sounds are present. Of course, these are default Simulator sounds. So what am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance for the help,
July 26, 200223 yr What I did was downloaded the Dauphin 2 that was uploaded last week and used these two sound files: dauphin_c_x.wav and dauphin_int.wav. The c_x is the external and the _int is the internal. The weird part is I had to rename the external file to he4 and internal file to xhe4...seemingly the opposite of what I needed to do. Anyhow try the above method and see if it works..again don't mess with the sound.cfg that came with the latest Dauphin (uploaded yesterday). Robert
July 26, 200223 yr No joy. Thanks for the pointers. I'm thinking maybe I fouled something up during the install. I'll delete it and start anew with a fresh install. Been a long time since I've had any problems with an addon install, but this one has me chasing my tail. Thanks again,
July 27, 200223 yr You might want to try the Dauphine sound files I'm using from an older A/C file. They work well in Antti's Fantastic Dauphine. They are too large for an attachment here. Will be happy to email them to you.Easyflyer [email protected]
July 28, 200223 yr Eureka!!Finally had time to uninstall/reinstall. Installed to a temp folder , unlike the first install, then moved all files and folders as required (the old fashioned way). I'm using Sabreliner's recommended sound files (also had to rename the two .wav files). And added the updated .gau file. Next I'll replace the dauphin.cfg file with a program for my Cougar that's dedicated to this Dauphin. This is truly a groundbreaking aircraft. Thanks Antti.Regards to Sabreliner and easyflyer for your posts,
