September 6, 200223 yr Is there a way to reverse control axises? So far it's great, other than having really tiny print...Glad someone finally did a helicopter with this much detail, and it's not all that bad on the frames either.
September 6, 200223 yr Yeah, this is a really great bird! I don't know how I'll be able to go back to fixed wing now. I've been flying around in it before I figured most of the systems out, but now that I've got it pretty much down...well, I think my PSS Airbus may be collecting some dust for awhile. After my trip to Oshkosh I went ahead and flew to Chicago and Meigs Field for some good night life prior to heading back to California. This helo is simply amazing...it puts a lot of payware to shame."Learn from your parents' mistake...use birth control."(I M A UCLA) BruinAddict *:-*DemetriousAsus A7V266 MBAthlon XP 1600+ (@ 1.53)512MB PC2100 DDRVisionTek Xtasy GeForce4 Ti 4400 (Detonator 29.42 WHQL)NEC MultiSync E1100+ 21"SoundBlaster Live! September 6, 200223 yr I'm glad to see you stuck with it, B.A. and have it working for you now. Antti and his beta testers did a great job on this helo. I'll look forward to their future offerings.-Lindy :-rotor (still in training) :-wave
September 6, 200223 yr Thanks, Lindy. If Antti and his crew are working on other offerings this may mean the end of fixed-wing flight as we know it! :-hah"Learn from your parents' mistake...use birth control."(I M A UCLA) BruinAddict *:-*DemetriousAsus A7V266 MBAthlon XP 1600+ (@ 1.53)512MB PC2100 DDRVisionTek Xtasy GeForce4 Ti 4400 (Detonator 29.42 WHQL)NEC MultiSync E1100+ 21"SoundBlaster Live! September 6, 200223 yr Just like to say that there were a few of us who tested the Dauphin for Antti, but all the "work" was done by Antti... and Antti alone. The guy is truely amazing, and as you say, it puts a lot of payware stuff to shame! I'm now looking forward to flying Antti's new helis...EC130 and EC155. No timescale yet, but they should be great!CheersAlun
September 7, 200223 yr Thanks...Loooks like it only reverses the collective though. Would it reverse the rudder pedals?
September 7, 200223 yr Unfortunately your correct, it does only reverse the collective, and as far as I know there is no way to reverse the other axies. You could try E-mailing Antti to ask him to alter the .gau file so that it would be possible, but I really don't know how busy he is.CheersAlun
September 7, 200223 yr Alex, do I understand correctly that your rudder pedals axis are reversed..... you step on the right pedal and it turns left?If so, and this might be a shot in the dark, have you gone into Game Controllers in the Windows Control Panel to see if there is a calibration setting there that could fix you up. (Unless of course the reversal is ONLY with the Dauphin and your rudders work fine with everything else.)Good luck.-Lindy :-wave
September 7, 200223 yr Yup, when I push on the right pedal, my copter yaws left. My pedals were meant to be car game pedals, not for flight simming, so that might have something to do with it. It's not a major problem 'cuz you can reverse it in FS. But, guess you can't do that with the Dauphin. Thanks for your suggestions. I'll have to look at the controllers, or maybe just resort to using the twist on my joystick. :)
