September 7, 200223 yr Just completed (well, sorta) leg 1 of my trip back to California from Meigs Field in the Dauphin, and, man, was I sweating! Bad fuel management on my part called for me to divert to the nearest field. Fortunately, my wife and a friend of ours spotted Norton Municipal (Kansas) off our port side and I promptly set up an emergency descent and approach on the grass strip that was, fortunately, heading into the wind. While we were on short final the number one engine flamed out, then just as we were flaring for touch down, right next to the fuel pumps at Norton, the number two engine flamed and we touched down a bit rough, but thankfully, were only about 10 feet off the ground!I love this bird!"Learn from your parents' mistake...use birth control."(I M A UCLA) BruinAddict *:-*DemetriousAsus A7V266 MBAthlon XP 1600+ (@ 1.53)512MB PC2100 DDRVisionTek Xtasy GeForce4 Ti 4400 (Detonator 29.42 WHQL)NEC MultiSync E1100+ 21"SoundBlaster Live!
