About 2 months ago, suddenly, half my helo's lost main and tail rotors. I've re-installed, fiddled, looked, tweaked etc to no avial. They're in the aircraft folders ok, but 2k2 isn't reading them. Missing module or effect?

I'd bet they're all FS2000 imports (that includes the Jordan Moores Huey, it was made with FSDS-1). I get the same thing but ONLY in the aircraft selection preview window. They are all okay running in FS2002.By any chance have you recently "upgraded" video card drivers? If so, did you happen to notice if it was coincident? Try to remember any video "appearance" changes you made. For example, did you turn on FSAA (full screen anti-aliasing). Go to Windows Display and change color depth setting and see if it affects things. Lots of possibilities.Good luck.Calhover long and prosper

My helicopters should show blades in the preview window. Not like those models that all the moving parts are missing in the preview window. I would guess that you have a driver or card or something that isn't happy with transparent textures. Has anything changed in your setup?

After 3 months of seeking help, "Bones" up in aircarft design nailed it. In the FS2002 CFG file, under graphics, is a thing about props.Somehow the dumb thing got set to "0". Made it a "1" and now propellers/rotors all over the place :-)
