January 10, 200323 yr I've been using the dauphin succesfully for a while with no problems and all of a sudden my panel windows won't open up anymore. I'm talking about the pedestal, the overhead, fuel control, etc. I have them programmed to buttons on my joystick and they used to work just fine. Also the gear won't respond to the joystick. I even tried using the keyboard directly (shift+1, shift+2, etc) and that doesn't work either. The only way I was able to get the windows to open was to go into the menu bar and open them from there. So essentially, the panel is no longer responding to keystokes from the keyboard. The only thing that works is the hatswitch for view control. I haven't made any changes to my FS2002, except adding Radar Contact v.3. Any help will be greatly appriciated!!! THANKS!!
January 10, 200323 yr Did you use the Dauphin "staight out of the box" or did you edit the Dauphin.cfg? If you edited the .cfg, take alook to see if anything has changed there (i don't know why it should have, but...).Either way, check in your main Gauges file, and check that Dauphin.gau is still there (again, don't know why it should not be, but it's best to check.). Also check that the Panel.cfg is still in the Panel folder, open it, and make sure it looks correct.Failing that... I'm not sure... re-install the Dauphin might work... but I am loathed to suggest that unless absolutley necessary.CheersAlun
January 10, 200323 yr Alun, I know what you mean about reinstalling the Dauphin only as a last resort. It took me so long to get it working to my specs, that I really don't want to mess around with it.
January 11, 200323 yr In your main FS2002 folder you have one file called Dauphin.sav. I guess this on saves your last settings of the dauphin. The file was buildt the first time you've opened the autopilotwindow. It's not a part of the original installation. Maybe it works, if you delete this one. Just an idea, no solution.
January 12, 200323 yr Good Idea! Also, you might find yourself replacing the dauphin soon...Oooops, I've said too muchAlun
January 12, 200323 yr Same copter, but improved GPS, improved installation (still have to configure conrollers though), better documentation and a new guage or two. If you've got Antti's old version, you'll want to upgrade; If you haven't got the old version, or were put off by all the rumblings about instalation, this one should make things easier (a bit anyway!).Oh... I lied, there is a new copter, Antti's reworked the original Dauphin, and has created an Offshore N2 version!Should be out in a few days, but don't tell anyone I told you!
