New Dauphin CFG

Featured Replies

New Dauphin New CFG problems.I had the version 1.2 Dauphin working just fine. Now with the new one I am having cfg problems. My currnet cfg is:number_of_devices=1;cyclic_pitch=1,Y;cyclic_roll=1,X;yaw=1,rZ;collective=1,SLIDER0;null_zone_yaw=512;force_trim_release=1,BUT1;beep_trim=1,POV0;toggle_landing_gear=1,BUT7;toggle_cycl_fd=1,BUT5;toggle_cycl_fd=1,KEYB_PG_DN;toggle_coll_fd=1,BUT3;toggle_coll_fd=1,KEYB_END;toggle_coupler=1,BUT4;toggle_coupler=1,KEYB_PG_UP;toggle_ap_lane1=1,KEYB_INS;toggle_ap_lane2=1,KEYB_DEL;toggle_sas_ase=1,KEYB_ACC;go_around=1,BUT2;brakes=1,BUT6;look_back=2,BUT12;look_down=2,BUT11;look_left=2,BUT10;look_right=2,BUT9;pan_view=2,POV0;low_realism_setting;I am using the MS FFPro and want the POV button to control the beep trim. Right now, with the joystick disabled, I cannot get any manual control input. No collective, no cyclic etc. Any help!!Mark

First thing to check, is the Dauphin.cfg file in the specific aircraft folder (AS365 or AS365BH, depending on which version), this version is a little different to the old version that used to have the Dauphin.cfg file in the main FS2002 folder.

Re this new Dauphin just released --- does it replace the current Dauphin? The reason I'm asking is that I have the Executive White livery which had been converted to a personalized livery "Lindy's Flight Service" for the original Dauphin. I don't want to lose my livery and I read that the new version has an automatic installer. Also if it does NOT automatically replace the original Dauphin, does anyone know if I could install my personal LFS livery to it using the current files for LFS?Clear as mud, right? :-lol -Lindy :-wave :-rotor

Lindy, I think it would work, as the only changes in 1.2 are in the panel, not the model. I would back up your old textures and cut and paste your textures into the texture directory. Does that make any sense?

Yeah, it does, kinda. I just installed the new Dauphin this evening, and I think you're right. I should be able to keep my personal livery for it. I'll play with it during the week and see what I come up with.I AM a bit disappointed that the new panel gauges still aren't all that readable, but are a LOT better in VC mode. I may have to learn to fly the Dauphin from the VC. ;-) -Lindy :-wave

First thing I did was add all my textures to the defult instalation of the New Dauphin, and yes all the old textures do work. I've now totally deleted the old dauphin after adding the textures i've made and downloaded to the new one.my only obstacle currently ()after figureing out the dauphin.cfg belongs in the dauphin folder not the fs2000 folder) is the beep trim. My test flight went great but I could not ever get the beep trim to adjust the airspeed. Having FunGrey_Wolf

So the instructions to put the dauphin.cfg in the FS2002 folder are incorrect? Seems Antti could have made that more clear. I'll move mine back to the Dauphin folder.I'm glad to hear the textures will work. I'd hate to lose my personal livery for this helo. ;-) Thanks, Wolf, for the info.-Lindy :-wave

The old Dauphin required the Dauphin.cfg to be in the main FS 2002 folder, the New Dauphin requires it to be in the specific aircraft folder; the document that comes with the new version clearly states"Users of the previous version (1.0 or 1.1)Note that: Dauphin.cfg must be located in FS2002 MAIN DIRECTORYaircraftAS365"I don't think Antti could have been much clearer.

I'm sorry. I did read the documents that came with the new version Dauphin, but that little tidbit must have snuck under my radar vision! Sorry.Sorry Antti.-Lindy :-wave

I did the same as you Lindy, I read the bold lettering of where the file went and my eyes just hazed over the rest, I spent a good hour wondering why my multi joystick set up wasnt working and no changes I made actually changed anything. I guess we got use to the old version and use to things being a certin way.Having FunGrey_Wolf
