Question about the Dauphin

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,I have a quick question about the Dauphin. I'm using the latest version of the Dauphin in fs2002 and lately I have noticed that when I switch to the pedistal view it seem like the autopilot take full control of the helicopter and it start moving on it's own, but the auto pilot isn't turned on in any way. I do have the joystick disabled and the dauphin.cfg configured correctly. Also if I shut the autopilot off after I use it and enable the joystick I can't get the engines to respond to my throttle ( using Saitek X45 ). I find this all very confusing as it is doing the same thing to the older versions too. Could it be my joystick drivers?Any help is appreciated :-hahNick :-abduct

Im not sure why the helicopter would take off on it's own - it sounds as though the ap is on. If your dauphin.cfg is correctly set up you do not need to re-enable the joystick to fly the heli manually. I suspect your Dauphin.cfg is not configured correctly. Heres how to check: Start by checking the dauphin.cfg is in the AS365 aircraft directory. Select the heli. press ctrlK to disable the joystick. press shift 2 to enable the dauphin.cfgCheck that lane1&2 lights are off, as are all the ap lights.now take her for a flight manually. If everything works (pitch, roll, throttle) then the config is ok. if not, then you need to configure Dauphin.cfg for your controller set. Theres detailed instructions on how to do that in the readme.Happy hoveringLonelyplanetXO

Thanks LonelyplanetXO. It was a combination of my drivers and my dauphin.cfg, it took about an hour to figure out.:-hahNow that they are both fixed I can fly with or with out the autopilot and have no problems.Nick :-abduct
