Actually not all that NEW either. I had d/l'd and installed Antti's Dauphin version 1.2 'Heli-Link' shortly after its release but this weekend realized I had never actually set it up and flown it yet. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get it configured to start up with cold engines and recognize my joystick settings with the joystick disabled (as per instructions). My time on the sim is limited so I couldn't fuss with it as much as I should have. I DID manage to get it going with the joystick enabled, using the Ctrl+E start routine. The window for the Trimble GPS was waaay too small for me to read anything. (Isn't there supposed to be a separate, larger window for it??) So I modified the panel cfg and added the MS default GPS. I also added my personal LFS livery (a carry over from version 1.0) and took the Dauphin on a job Sunday.Very sweet craft; I can fly it from the VC -- so cool. I don't have the autopilot or other fancy bells & whistles that Antti designed into it because it won't work w/o the joystic enabled. But I never used that stuff in version 1.0 either, so I don't really miss it. I need to develop a better "feel" for it when landing, but I can see I'll be using this helo a lot in the future. ;-) -Lindy :-rotor:-wave

Never used the autopilot!?Lindy, Do yourself a favour and ready that manual, even if you need a couple of weekends/weeks and a new stick, but at the end, when you understand every single button and knob, I promise you, you will love that helo even a hundred times more!!! :-)About the Trimble GPS, made myself today a new pop-up window for it, 2x bigger than the default, works great. autopilots take the joy of flying away, especially in helo's... i preferr to fly it manually then when vectored in tight airspace i tend to use the autopilot sometimes... it's quite cool :)"hold over BUN vor 3000ft" "holding over BUN at 3000"... Cheers
