FS 2002/04 throttle/collective Inverse settings

Recommended Posts

Is there any way to reverse the throttle settings in FS 2002/04?As a newby to sim helo flying, but 10 years experience in real helo flying, to me lowering the collective sets the helo down. Unfortunately, bottoming the collective in Microsoft FS increases the throttle and twarts my efforts to land (or takeoff).I would like to reverse the process so that pulling the collective back towds me will increase power.I want to fly the helo's but these things are KILLING me.Thanks!Gundog.

Look under Options...Controls...Assignments..., Click on the Joystick Axes tab, select the correct controller (if you have more than one)scroll to the throttle setting (at the bottom), and the right column has a box to check if you want to reverse the axis. Check it. You can do this with any axis - I have CH Pro Pedals, and for some reason the toe brakes needed to be reversed also.Brian

Just go into the joystick assignments screen. Click "Joystick Axis" or whatever it's called. There is a checkbox next to each Axis that allows you to invert it. FS uses the throttle as the collective, so invert that one.
