June 30, 200421 yr I want to learn how to fly helos in MS flight simulator. I've seen two differant sites that have training programs, hovesafe and hovercontrol. Any opinions on differances between the two sites training programs? Thanks
June 30, 200421 yr Hoversafe has no forum; it requires the student pilot to submit videos of his/her training exercises for critique; it has excellent training videos, with accompanying text lessons, which can be downloaded and watched in FS2002 (I'm not sure they work in FS2004).Hovercontrol has an active forum community for questions/answers; they offer online one-on-one training with their Instructor Pilots; they have excellent text training documents which can be printed out for reference; they also have some terrific videos that can be downloaded for reference. Both sites use the default Bell206 for all their training and certification. Both sites have much to offer the novice helicopter pilot in FS.I personally prefer Hovercontrol's approach to helicopter flight training over Hoversafe's. I like having a forum where I can get almost instant answers to questions that are bugging me NOW. Plus the online flight community at HC is extremely helpful. You can also check out Steve Cartwright's helicopter flying tutorial here at Avsim for some generalized tips and suggestions.Good luck and happy hovering.-Lindy :-rotor:-wave
