May 3, 200620 yr Until today I was unaware of this reality. For me, dedicated more & more to the worlds of X-Plane, LOMAC and ELITE, using MSFS from time to time only happens when the ride is on any of the RealAir masterpieces, PMDG's 744, LevelD767 or Feelthere's ERJ145.I would love to use helicopters more often (and I will starting today!) in MSFS but none felt really chalenging. Basicaly MSFS helos lack lots of realistic effects, are too easy to control and for someone who is using X-Plane helos for quite a while a ride in one of the default or even some of the best add-on helos for MSFS is a deception.Well, things started changing last friday when I replaced my hardware ccontrol setup from the previous Gameport CH Flightstick Pro and Thrustmaster rudder pedals to a Saitek X52 and the CH Propedals (all USB). It really made a difference, and flying any of my preferred sims is now a completely new experience. Then, today, I finaly decided to give DODOSIM a try. I have been closely following the evolution of that add-on helicopter for MSFS4, but was somehow affraid of yet another deception. After some email messages exchanged with an active RW helicopter instructor who uses DODOSIM I was finally convinced that there must be somtehing special about it, so... I bought dodosim advanced.Rushed installing, configuring AND flying it. I am speechless!!!! It is almost like using another sim. It's difficult to believe that somehpw behind the dodosim Bell 206 addon there's actualy the MSFS core FM! This helicopter is a real joy to fly. I mastered it in just a few minutes, including flying the DODO with level 5 (extreme) FM difficulty (can be selected between 1 and 5). For those of you who haven't had the chance to use this helo, please consider that in your future add-on plans - you will not regret!
