help re removing atc aircraft type "use only callsign"

Recommended Posts

Guest

does anyone know if there is a way to edit the fs2002 atc so when you broadcast, you only use the callsign (eg. VH-ACB) and not the aircraft type.I am from Australia and we only use aircraft registrations when talking to atc.

Open the aircraft.cfg and set the atc_model= and atc_type= values to "None" (without the brackets). If you leave these fields blank FS will use "Experimental".The only point to watch is that if you also have the aircraft you are flying set up as an AI aircraft things might get complex.Don't put the hyphen in the callsign. If you type it in as VH-ACB then ATC will call you "Victor Hotel minus Alpha Charlie Bravo"
