November 25, 200223 yr I downloaded this plane from the project's web site two days ago, but when I selected it for a test flight tonight I got some very strange visual artifacts which I have never seen on any other plane. I checked the aircraft.cfg file because I knew there had been an issue with the Socata that was somehow related to the CFG file, but my version was apparently okay.Anybody know what this is all about?Cheers,

Uh, no! That is definitely a new one... May I suggest deleting the file, rebooting the computer and then reinstalling the a/c?Out of a total 10,408 folks who've d/l'ed and installed this model, this is the only one with such an oddity!BillProject DirectorSocata TB20GTFactory Aircraft Rebuilders Technology Systems, noInc.
November 26, 200223 yr Hmmm...in that case it is really odd. Right, I will try to reinstall the plane. This is one beautiful plane, Bill - definitely among the very best available for FS 2002 :D !
November 26, 200223 yr Bill - first a big thanks to you and the team for this gem. However, a couple of questions come to mind...First the performance. Granted a Porsche will be more responsive and 'squirrely' than a Caddy. However, when I takeoff in this beast, it won't lift the nose off the runway even at 100 knots, and full back pressure. I mean FULL. Then at about 120 it POPS off, zooms upwards and of course immediately rolls right due to the huge amount of right rudder needed to track center. Second the visual. Does the cockpit display accurately reflect the real aircraft? I have never sat in one, so I don't know - but the 2-D cockpit center display cuts off any view straight ahead. Since there is no way to shift left or right in 2D, this is interesting! Is there truly such little visibility in this craft? In cruise, it is a delight. However, landing and takeoffs are white knuckle affairs!
