When I try to download office XP SP1, i get this message,http://members.shaw.ca/stangrecki/officesp1.jpgDoes anyone know why this is happening?, If it matters, I have XP SP1 installed.Kurt

I got that too, but I cant figure out why. After a few days of struggling with it, I just gave up. I found that it did happen on both 2k and XP, so I really dont know whats causing it (not OS related).

Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - 315152http://support.microsoft.com/CAUSEThis error message can occur if the following conditions are both true: You originally installed an unreleased version of Microsoft Office XP. -and- You downloaded and installed the Microsoft Office XP Service Pack 1 (SP-1) update.

Install the SP2 pack via the "admin" way.

Correct, you can slipstream Office XP Service Packs 1 & 2, and the recent Word and Excel updates by creating an administrative installation point. But doing it that way is both tedious and probably beyond the expertise of most users.

I just click on the msi file and away it goes.. :)
