November 26, 200223 yr Hi,I hesitated to request help for this issue, but I couldn't find a solution to my problem.I have North America and Europe default sceneries installed, but I can see the roads only when I'm in America. No roads in Europe, England, France or Italy. I can't understand what's the point. Maybe I haven't some roads .bgl file for Europe? Can someone help me?ThanksFrancesco
November 26, 200223 yr hmm, there are roads in Europe though far less than in the USA (Microsoft forgot most roads except major highways for some reason. But then, they also forgot some other things).
November 26, 200223 yr I suppose there are ;-)The point is I can't see them. And it can't be a setting problem, since I do see them in America with the same setting...Francesco
November 26, 200223 yr 1. i dont think you missing all to much :(2. did you try a re-install???3. can you see roads around addon-sceneries ???
November 27, 200223 yr Heh, RedOctober is right when he says you aren't missing anything by not seeing ugly grey lines running around the continent :(. Nonetheless, roads are nice to have for VFR purposes if nothing else. Here is a place which I know for a fact has a road, so you can verify it on your comp. Take off from EHNP (Noordoostpolder Airport) in Emmeloord, Holland and fly due east for about 30 seconds. You should see a major road named A6 directly below you. If you still can't see any roads then I can only think that your scenery.cfg is screwed up somewhere.-Derek
November 27, 200223 yr I found what was the matter.I compared my directories' files with CD .cab scenery files. They were many less. Tried to extract files from the .cab directly by Winzip, and I had an error about in the middle of the extraction. Actually, when extracting a certain file Winzip encounters problems, so it stops extracting, and the files following the corrupted one are not extracted. So I bypassed the corrupted file, and extracted manually the remaining files. Then I checked all the other scenedb directories, to see if the thing happened to them too, and I found a certain number of similar situation.Surely my CD has some problems.
