Could AI be crashing my FS2002?

Featured Replies

Hello - some help needed please!I've recently been tinkering with AI traffic, and now have some really busy Japanese airports - which looks good, altho a frame rate killer on my ancient machine! However, within 5 mins of the traffic starting up, Fs2002 freezes, and won't resumed - so I have to end task and start again. The only thing in my set up that has changed - is that I now use AI at 85%.Is this causing the crash? The other programmes I have open at the same time are FS Meteo and FS Navigator. My system is a Pentium 3, 866Mhz, 512 Mb Ram, Windows XP, Geforce 4 ti 4200 card with the latest detonator 4 drivers! I'm also running an ADSL modem.Any suggestions?Robhttp://www.btinternet.com/~rob.corp/images/sig.jpg

On my old computer I added quite a bit of tinkering with AI Traffic. Every now and then it would cause the system to crash when there was too much traffic around. My advice is this: limit the number of take-offs and landings by forcing flights to come in only once every 24 hours, stagger the arrival and departure times at airports where this happens and try to use mostly aircraft with low polygon counts. If all else fails, redirect the traffic to other airports or (gasp) eliminate the flight altogether.Hope that helps
