November 29, 200223 yr I know that FS 2002 comes with a Video Recorder but you need FS 2002 to play it back. Is there another way to record a short 1 hour flight and save it on your hard drive in an ASF or other efficient video format with out buying a lot of special hardware? Thanks!Barry
November 29, 200223 yr Well, by recording it using the FS recorder, you will be able to replay the flight either looking in the cockpit, outside view, etc.If you want to capture what is on the screen to replay back in whatever view you kept it on, either you can use a program such as Camtasia by TechSmith, or you can purchase a video card that has an IN/OUT analog connection so that you can export to your VCR, camcorder, etc and then save it back into your computer crisp and fluid. It's a lot smoother than using a program that runs at the same time as FS does recording the screen such as Camtasia which really kills the video quality and FPS. http://home.earthlink.net/~chumaster/sig.jpg
November 30, 200223 yr Camtasia, Not worth the $249 price tag at least to me.....It is hard to believe that nobody has come out with a recorder (for a reasonable price) that will record the events in a window in real time...Oh well..Just have to record to video for now...Barry
