Hi, I am very new to the home cockpit thing so please don't laugh. I cannot get my head around a few things- would somone mind explaining a few things?A quick question about project magentas ECIAS display, does it write messages to the pilot next to the engine instruments, (the yellow or red ones that say stuff like 'ENGINE FIRE R' If PMDG and PSS can do it I don't see why a hundered dollar program cannot. Also do their screens have the error messgaes so that when you turn off the IRS's the screens go black and you get the symbols in the boxes.How does EPIC work exactly? For example, lets take a hydralic system, would I wire all the buttons to EPIC and then program what I want to happen when these buttons are pushed, if so is their software that comes with EPIC to do this.Can I make it so that if I turn the hydralics off EPIC then senses this and makes the sim react just like the real thing would, (ie all the flight controls don't move)In other words how do you incorperate systems into the simulator, is this what EPIC is or is it just a bridge between buttons and another program.Thanksric
