Wired

Is there any specific cabling I need to buy? Can I use Cat 5 cable? I have rolls of that and it could help keep all my Epic wires neet since it is wrapped (8 wires).I also have a box of motherboard cables for shorter connections. I just went to Radio Shack and found a gazillion things I can get, such as leds knobs, buzzers, switches etc... real cheap but quality seems great; can I use these? I am still planning and catalog as much as I can so I can see all my options for my 747-400 project. Final question; I also saw some lights that would make great Outer- Middle- and Inner marker lights, can these be made to work in my project?Thank you for taking the time to help answer any question you can.

Buying all the switches and such at stores could get expensive. A Hamfest or some computer shows have tables and tables full of old parts for sale much cheaper.

Yes radio shack stuff will work. any type of led, lamp, even 100 watt light bulbs. you just need to have the proper power supplies and relays or the like. get the Epic hardware. in the docs they give examples on how to use sw,lamps,led,7 seg displays. cat5 wire is a good idea, I wish I had thought of it.
