Analog axis don't move in Windows Game Controller?!?

Featured Replies

Hi folks,Today I wired 3 pots as analog channels 0, 1 and 2 directly to the 20pin analog port on the Expansion module. After defining them in my EPL, the showed up and worked like a flaw! Using EpiCenter I can calibrate and see them move... They even show up in the W2K Game Controller Panel.PROBLEM is: the axis movement is not shown in Windows! I can see the pots in EpiCenter under EpicInfo, but Windows doesn't recognize any movement :-(But according to the EPIC-supplied 'Lesson 1' the movement in EpiCenter and Windows should be the same!Does anybody have a clue?Sorry if this is a stupid question, but it's my first try with analogs (3-wire pots)...Michael

Michael:Does your device despriptor file include the new pots (with appropiate Windows names)?Hans

Hans and all others:The 3 analogs are defined properly in my devices.hpl. Problem was: Every new windows axis must be calibrated once! Although you see no movement at first, just calibrate the controls in Game controller panel and off you go...Worked for me.Regards,Michael

Michael,good to hear it's working!Hans

If you are using latest EPROM and game axis work, do not worry about seeing he axis move in Win. Repeating the calibration in Win will usually gt them to show up, though.
