Epic USB only seeing 1 row in EpicInfo

Featured Replies

Hello all,I just got my Epic in a few days ago. I have the Epic USB, expansion module, and 32 output module. Right now I have 10 switches wired into data bit 0 thru 7 and working off of Module 1, Rows 0 and 1.I can press the 8 switches on M1R0 and they all work fine in epicinfo.the other two switches on M1R1 do nothing. They don't even show up in EpicInfo. If I jump the wiring over to M1R0 then I start to get feedback in EpicInfo from the two switches. Does EpicInfo only read the one Row until I program someting into the Epic? I'm a little confused here. Before I start unsoldering wires I want to make sure I'm not missing a piece of the pie here.I figured I could wire em all up, press the buttons, write down the info on each one and program them in.Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Eric

Eric:You'll need to download an EPL file to EPIC before you can see past the first row of switches. I verified this with my system.I'm not sure how you plan to use your EPIC, but I attached my project for you to use as an example of a EPL file.Unzip this project into your epic/projects folder and then open EPIC Center. Once EPIC Center is running, use file open to open the project I sent you. F10 is the shortcut to download the EPL code to your EPIC. Once the code is downloaded, you should be able to see all of your switches in EPIC Info. This file is my latest project and supports switches and lights via Pigeon Holes. The file is designed for Falcon4SP3, but the concepts are the same for sending keystrokes to any sim or getting light status from any sim via Pigeon Holes. And, for just testing your switches, it should work just fine.Good luck.

Thanks a bunch. I'll have a look at it today. I'm also using mine for Falcon4 SP3. So far I have only made the landing gear panel. I want to test it out and get a feel for programming. Once again thanks,Eric

I posted my Falcon4 EPIC pictures in another thread on this site, if you have some free time, you may want to take a look. Also, I should be putting the finishing touches on my Falcon4 SP3 memory reader program today. After it's done I'll post it on this site. I successfully used my memory reader with Falcon4 SP3 to control my Master Caution light last night, that was the culmination of 3 weeks of research. Once the memory reader is ready, all you should have to do is write your EPL code and my memory reader will be your interface to Falcon to control your lights.Good luck again.
