Cam2Pan How do you setup your Video Camera?

Recommended Posts

Guest

I have a Panasonic Digital Video Camcorder model PV-DV201/D. I have dowloaded Cam2Pan and installed the software. Now what do I have to do with my camera to get it to work. I have a USB cable for the camera. What mode do I put the camera in to have it work with Cam2Pan. These may sound like stupid questions but I never tried to interface the camera with this computer. Do I have to install the software that came with the camera or is Cam2Pan software the only software I need. I use this camera with another computer for updoading pictures but never in this mode. I don't want to load the software that I've installed on the other computer if I don't have to. Hard drive space. Thanks to all who reply.Bill

I'm no expert but I suspect you may have to install the camera software initially. You choose your source from within Cam2pan, so maybe not ... why don't you just try it and see, given that the demo is free? It all hangs on whether Windows will recognise your camera as hardware without having to install its own software.Don't know why I bothered trying to help here, as I know "sweet FA" about it really. But good luck with it ... it's a wonderful add-on in conjunction with ActiveCamera.Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitak.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/reds.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitakv3.jpg
