Dash 8 sounds and SAAB 340 plane

Featured Replies

Is it possible to use new Dash 8 sounds withthe FFG Saab 340? It seems that the sounds are integrated with the Dash panel.Brent Hebert

Well, it would be possible if you were willing to invest time in creating a 'merge.' The systems on Oleksiy Frolov's panel are very dependent on the aircraft's .air file, and settings in the aircraft.cfg. Also, you wouldn't be able to use another panel, and would be stuck with a Dash-8Q panel, rather than one of the fine S340 panels out there. I suggest using the sounds from Fransisco Sanchez-Casta~ner's ATR 42-500. They sound great too, but they aren't nearly as realistic as the 'integrated sounds' with Mr. Frolov's panel.

If you should have the Dash 7 by Milton Shupe and his team, why don't you use the sounds from this one? I did, and they fit the Saab just fine :D .

Where can I download this FFG SAAB 340? I like that plane...Is it out on Flightsim.com or AVSIM.com?Please let me know the name of the files, including the name of the Dash 7 panel, etc...Thanks a bunch!Barry

There are some problems with that aircraft. The .air file...Careening on taxi, and acceleration seems sluggish...ffg_saab_340_american_eagle_106094.zipHaven't tried the ffg_saab_340_northwest.zip yet.. Does it have a replacement air file?Any ideas? Thanks!Barry
