December 9, 200223 yr Any autopilots have the feature for a 1/2 rate turn so we are not going over to steep in turns for vectors??They have this in real life...right??Thanks
December 10, 200223 yr The Beechjet in Flight Unlimited III had a 1/2 rate turn function on its autopilot. I have never seen it in FS though.Having said that, I seem to remember that the Dreamfleet 737 autopilot had some kind of bank limiting control. I'm sure someone who flies this regularly can provide more info.
December 10, 200223 yr PIC 767 also has a bank angle adjustment on the autopilot. I believe most commercial flights are limited to a bank angle of no more than 30 degrees. This is pax comfort only and not a flight envelope restriction; you don't wanna spill their drinks.I think the range of adjustment on the 67 is 5 to 35 degrees. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.CF-AOA
December 10, 200223 yr Oh, ok...thought so.I got to the jump seat of a G-IV once and noticed the autopilot was glued to a 1/2 standard bank turn. Was just curious. Thanks all.
December 10, 200223 yr If i remember right, also the excellent freeware panel, Grabowski's ERJ, has the "light bank" autopilot option... it is locked turn rate (on/off type) though...
