December 10, 200223 yr HiI'd be grateful if a few of you in the know could tell me what is the best currently available DC-9 panel and aircraft package for FS2002thanks
December 10, 200223 yr FlightOne "Iron Knuckles" DC9. No doubt whatsoever. Payware ($24.95) and worth every single cent!If you're looking for free stuff, www.bahnhof.se will be the place to look.Jaap Verduijn.
December 10, 200223 yr Look for Stellan Hilmerby's aircraft and panel package. Other great aircraft are by The Vans Aircraft Company and Project Freeware.Another great panel is Marco Diaz' rework of Paul Golding's FS2000 panel; there are several others. The ones I have are by David Durst, Scott Thomas, Amer Yordi, Marco Spada, Charles Fox, Gen. Marcello Lugari, Jose Miranda and Chris Jeanne. Some of these are for FS2000, but work well enough in FS2002 with the odd tweak. I use Mike Hambly's, Aaron Swindle's or Erick Cantu's sounds. Given that the real benefit of payware packages is in things like FMC, that this aircraft does not have, these freeware add-ons are pretty satisfactory if you fly hands-on and don't simply rely on your GPS to get around. I'm not knocking the "Iron Knuckles" payware for one moment, but with so many aircraft in my personal hangar and so many wonderful places and adventures to explore, I personally couldn't justify 25 smackeroos just for one aircraft. That's about five Thomas the Tank Engine books for my 2 year old.All of the above are freeware.Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitak.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/reds.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitakv3.jpg _________________________ Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumont VP Fleet, DC-3 Airways Team Member, MAAM-SIM
