Defunct ILS

Featured Replies

Hi,Can anyone explain why some airports supposedly with ILS do notwork. Case in point at present is Tocumen, Panama (MPTO) and Lagos,Nigeria (DNMM) for which all ILS`s do not work. Has anyone flown tothese airports and found the ILS to work?? I am using third party airports incidently. Only one runway atLagos has a working ILS (19R 108.10). All others are inoperative.Any help as to how to resolve this would be very appreciatedYoursJohn

What do you mean by "don't work?" You can't auto-land or you don't pick up the localizer?Third party huh? You better ask the authors this question.

What I mean is that the ILS frequencies just arn`t there at all. John

As I already stated, sounds more like a question for the Authors.

I have just checked Tocumen (MPTO), runway 3R, ILS 110.70 (ident INAT) and the ILS works just fine with me. It is in the default FS2002 scenery, so it should work with you too. But as someone else stated, it might be third party scenery which causes your problem. Disable any additional scenery for Tocumen and check again. And did you use any FS2002 default aircraft to check it? Jozef Kusters http://httpd.chello.nl/~j-kusters/logo.gif [link:Ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/Tradewind/"]Visit TCA TradeWind ][/font
