WxRE and RC3

Featured Replies

If I start RC3 immediately after WxRE, the RC3 ATIS or in flight weather never seems to state what is in the current WxRE metar. Even if the RC3 ATIS is allowed to play several minutes it never changes. Also, WxRE seems to stop updating.Has anyone using RC3 got any experience with this?

I did just a few flights with ActiveSky and RC3 together so far, but I didn't experience the problem you are seeing. The METAR and the RC3 weather report sometimes don't match 100% (especially if it's a dynamic report), but in general they are pretty close, even the reported wind/temp from RC matches the winds aloft data in ActiveSky for the current flight altitude. I will keep an eye on it during my next flights and post here if I see this happen too ...Dirk
