February 4, 200323 yr Glenn,I think I know why you were having problems modifying a metar file. There may be several entries for the same airport in any given metar file. Chances are when you changed an entry but did not see the change reflected in wxRE it was because another metar entry for your airport nearer your system time was being used.Look for multiple entries in the .met file. Change one and delete the rest. This worked fine for me.See my post to Damian in the previous threads you were involved in for the latest on the problem I found.Dykes Cupstid
February 5, 200323 yr Thanks Dykes,Yeah, I thought about that, but then figured it would cause a lot of confusion in WXRE. I didn't find any duplicates in the *.met file, BUT I did find why I had the problem :-). I had the airport ID in the "GET" window, so that overrode the custom METAR and got the original file :-lol. Go figure. Anway, got that part figured out and I was able to change the METAR with no problems using the CUSTOM WRITE feature. I'll go have a look at your other response to Damian to see what happened with this. Thanks Dykes, appreciate the head's up!Glenn
