UTC Time set problem

Featured Replies

Hi, Damian: "Option settings" in ASky does not appear to be saving my UTC zone correctly. I'm at CYEG which is -7 hours. If I leave the UTC blank as suggested, I doesn't appear to be setting CYEG (Edmonton, Canada) at -7 UTC. I just tried again leaving the UTC set blank and I get 18 hrs UTC? That's a 6 hr difference if it's referring to a 24Hr clock isn't it? :-shyIf I set -7, I still get 18 hrs UTC. :~P What's the process I'm missing here? Thanks,Fsky ver 1.15 (Remote PC) - everything else appears to be working just fine except for Radar which has some hiccups. :7 Ron McLeod CYEG

Hi Ron,Let me see if I can help here. First some confirmation questions: You are entering the -7 in the Time Zone/UTC Conversion square right? And you have the Use System Time for Processing box checked right? If your answer to both is "yes" then take your local time "hour", add 7 hours and that should be the hour that shows up in the "UTC Hour for Download" box, yes, based on th 24hour clock. If not then write back.Hope this helps.

And you have the Use System Time Thanks for your help JS:Actually, I missed the entry at the bottom left of the UTC conversion table. I was mistakenly putting the entry in the UTC "hour for download" box, rather than in Time Zone/UTC conversion box (-7). :-eekThanks for putting me on the right trail.Ron McLeod CYEG

Glad I could help.
