Loading TAF's

Hi Damian,Have recently purchased your program & so far have not had a great deal of time to get used to it so I am hoping you can solve a possible problem I am having. It appears that despite downloading the current weather OK ASWXRE is not sending the TAF info to FS. I have set my UTC conversion, FSUIPC & selected use TAF settings as per the manual but despite trying numerous locations with TAFs showing different weather patterns at different times the only weather appearing is the METAR. I have also tried re installing the program but this has not solved the problem.Any suggestions?Rossco

Are you aware that TAF (terminal area forcast) is only a forecast of the weather to come and doesn't reflect the current weather situation? That is what METARs (meteorological aerodrome routine report) are there for and that is why the weather situation in FS will only reflect the METAR conditions. The exception is when ActiveSky "generates" a METAR out of a TAF because the METAR is not available or too old. It will be called "(dynamic) METAR)". And even in this case the weather will still reflect only the current (dynamic) METAR situation. So the bottom line is:METAR shows you the current situation.TAF shows you what you can expect. So your (Damian's) program is just working fine.Hope that helps.
