April 16, 200323 yr Hello... when I first start up wxRE, I have to wait a while for it to do some kind of initialization. That includes getting the weather for DGAA (why, I don't know). During this time, the program is not responsive and it is not possible to get a wx briefing, for example. Could startup be speeded up by removing the DGAA weather download? Why not just make the program sit idle, waiting for a "GET" input or for FS2002 to startup?Cheers,Peter
April 16, 200323 yr Peter,You already have this option, in Options it is called "Start wxRE Paused(Refresh to Start)". Have you tried this?Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support
April 16, 200323 yr Whoa... a quick reply! I posted the question, flew CYGK to CYYZ (40 minutes), checked back into this forum and there lies the answer!Yes, that's the trick. Start wxRE paused. Sorry, I missed that. Thanks,PeterPS: A cold front is moving into the region (in real life) and we have winds at 17 knots with gusts to 24. Thanks to wxRE, it was a challenging and bumpy flight this evening :-)
