April 26, 200323 yr >I need down 1.4 vertion !!The parent company and developer sold it's software copyright "lock, stock and barrel" to another developer who will release the software [that many of us paid for - and some quite recently] to freeware. Although details of WHY it happened are sketchy, apparently the company who bought the rights to FSFlightMax and FSGarmin say they intend to continue developing the product. We'll see... I for one am very dissapointed in the way the issue was handled, but I guess you had to be there to know what transpired. AVSIM carried the story and John Hnidec (the developer for FSFlightMax) has made a statement on AVSIM concerning the issue. I think John did his best, but it appears their company was not able to continue operation.Too bad, but at least the product is still alive. You may find more on AVSIM.Ron McLeod CYEG
