Creating Custom METARS

Recommended Posts

Guest

For those of you that want to be able to fly in customized weather, here's an easy to use tip that will help you with generating customized METARS:1) Utilizing SERVINFO 2.0, choose the TOOLS/METARS/REQUEST BY ICAO CODE option.2) Pick a region and click the check mark.3) You can now use the Icons on the left to sort the list by weather type.4) Just go down the list until you find the METAR you want and right click on it so you can copy it to the clipboard and then just paste it into the "Custom METAR" line in ActiveSky.5) Change the ICAO code to your desired airport and click "Custom Write".I utilize this when I am looking for rain in order to test out FSFlightmax. It always works great. I hope this helps.Regards,Nick Anzelino
