still having problems

Featured Replies

Hi,Having downloaded the update from the just flight web site, i am still experiencing a few problems.1) From my active sky not working at all, i would say it works about 30% of the time & this is due to the same old problem i get everytime, relating to "03238".Now, as i might have said before in another thread, it just keeps trying other stations & just keeps doing that in a loop.I then have to ctrl+alt+del to end the program & close it down.I then fire up FSMeteo & it works first time everytime. Now, i am not comparing the two by no means, as i would prefer to use active sky everytime all the time,as i think this is a far better program than Fsmeteo, but it works when active sky deos'nt.If i could just stop this "03238" problem, i am sure my active sky would work everytime.thanks in advanceMike Allen.

Mike,I have been able to find out that 03238 is no longer a valid WMO Station. Please open your wmo.txt file in your ActiveSky folder, search for 03238 and delete the whole line. Save your changes and see what happens.Weather stations close and open at times. We can only stay up to date when users post problems as you have. I thank you for your patience in this matter. Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support

Hi Jim,thanks for your reply & your time, i deleted the 03238 line & now active sky works every time without fail.I tried it at least four or five times before posting this just to make sure, fantastic.:-)cheersmike.ps. when fs2004 is released, will actice sky be compatable? This may have been asked many times, but would like to know. Thanks.:-)

We hope so and Damian is working on V2.0 with new features. I'm glad you got things fixed. I'll keep it in mind for other users.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support
