Anyone running the MSI-FX5600-VTD256 with Nvidia?

Hi,I bought one of these cards thinking wxRE might run more efficiently with more card RAM. The MSI entry is one of many using the Nvidia chipset and I've tried the latest, the greatest and all with the same results: I've got 'virtual panel' but no pop-up panel views, i.e. (throttles, ohead, etc) but no 2D primary panel at all just black holes. I'm currently using 45.43 drivers which work fine in FS2002, but don't in FS2004? :~P Done the re-installs, later versions of drivers, you name it, but no joy. Anybody sharing the pain with this card in FS2004? Ron McLeod CYEG :-violin

Thanks to the Flight Simulator Gawds, the Registry tumour was miraculously removed and 'all is well' - for now. :9The MSI card runs very well with improved frame rates (and without load pausing) with everything turned up. Looks like the problem just required persistence, the latest Nvidia drivers installed AGAIN, and a bigger hammer. Lesson: If you are going to upgrade your VGA card, prepare for battle - and plan on likely having to clean EVERYTHING in the previous install of FS9. That probably still won't work, but going the cautious way was a complete waste of time. Get the pain over quick and start over with clean registry, clean uninstall, etc. Don't ya love hardware! :-hahRon McLeod CYEG
