New snow effects causing very rapid strobe lights....??

Featured Replies

I just installed the snow effects and noticed that the strobe and beacon lights flash rate increased tremendously (like you has FS on 4X rate). I assume it has to do with the changes made in the effects .cfg file. I changed it back to the old one and the lights were back to normal but not sure if the snow effect will work now. Has anyone else noticed this?? Thanks.

My experience is that the rain/snow effects don't actually work, but I do see the rapid strobe effect you describe. I haven't had time to really double check that I've done everything right, but I wonder whether another 3rd party product may be the common denominator?

the effects work great here but i am getting the same strobe thingshane

I just tried it out and noticed the same thing. When I was testing, I changed some of the values in the effects.cfg to increase the emission rate. Unfortunately, the SDK doesn't describe that particular file (go figure), but I think it's some sort of main controller file. I'm going to make some changes to the file I made, and replace the effect.cfg with the original again. I will release an update either today or tomorrow. I tested for so long in the hopes that I didn't have to release a change (I hate having to download 2 or 3 updates for one file, so I know how everyone feels), but I was bit in the you know what.
