strange weather at 35000 feet

Featured Replies

Hi Damian, I had a similar problem right now on a flight from Portland to Denver with a 777 Meljet, at an Atltitude of 35000 feet with mach 0.86, I first began to climb slowly, although the autopilot was set on 35000. shortly afterwards I was catapulted to 47000 feet and 645 kias ( indicated Airspeed)near Idaho Falls. The plane went into a severe stall, I recovered at 17000 feet altitude and I wanted to do an emercency landing in Idaho Falls. After I loaded the new flightplan and was cleared for landing I suddenly had a crash to Desktop, any ideas what could be the cause? The flight was done without online updates checked, with taf processing active, but online. Sounds like maybe you have FSGenesis scenery mesh and/or land class installed. There's a known "bermuda triangle" area over that area where really bizarre things occur, including a CTD.In either case, I doubt it's AS2K4 related.J

hi, thanx for your answer, yes I have the mesh scenery from FS Genesis installed and it happens in the Saltlake City Area, what I don't understand is how a Meshscenery, which is pure elevation data can cause jumps in altitude and speed....anyone else with this problem and in the same area?mariosunshine
