Hi guys!As you know I was plagued by the cloud issue when I was using WXre. Well I had upgraded to AS2004 when you released it and much to my dismay I still had the issues. So I tweaked and experimented and was able to alleviate a fram rate issue, but the clouds still liked to play "now you see me, now you don't". I also had an issue for awhile where the weather didn't match real world conditions.Well, yesterday I peeked into the forum and saw that you guys had released a Alpha upgrade. I did a clean install of AS2004 and applied the update. Here's what I can report: WORKING AS ADVERTISED!!!!!!! I've been flying all morning up and down the North East without a hitch. At one point I hit an area between KWWD and KPHL in clear skies when the visibility slowly degraded smoothly and then a short time later gradually improved-smoothly. It wasn't instantaneously(sp) like previously. Also towards the W and SW there were some nice patches of clouds in the distance that previously would play hide and go seek. they stayed put!All in all I'm a happy camper! You guys rock! A huge improvement with an alpha release! Imagine a beta then final..WOW! Keep up the good, no, great job!!

Crabster,That is great news! To help us out: what flavor of FSUIPC are you using and what are your settings in FSUIPC and AS 2004 like?JimActiveSky Support

Hi Jim,Ok I'm using the newest FSUIPC and the settings for it are the minimum weather. Here is a jpeg of the AS2004 settings:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/58179.jpgI just completed a KWWD-KLRF flight which the flt plan was loaded into AS2004. There was maybe 1 or 2 times that I had clouds do the pop-in n out but not as drastic as occured previously. Cloud transitions were very smooth and at some points very seamless. I was using Olys Dash 8 which has weather radar. As I was cruising along there were scattered green areas. I was watching weather channel at the same time and at roughly the same area I started painting alot of green and yellow. The clouds changed significantly and smoothly and seemed to match up with what was being reported on tv. Now I was at FL230 so all this was occurring below me. I then had to end the flight cause I had to take my daughter to her basketball game (darn the timing :) )All in all I'm very very happy. Still a couple of issues to iron out, but for what I had happening previously, this is like a whole new experience. Oh, some people mentioned problems in mountians. I crossed over mountains in West Virginia (FL230) but did not have any issues. The flight ran the gamut of clear sky, scattered clouds, to solid.I was so immersed in the flight that I didn't think to take any screenshots :(Again I have to say well done!
