Initialization Error

Featured Replies

When opening AS2004 I get an Error Message "Error Initializing-Check your INI File!" And where is the AS2004.ini file supposed to be installed. I have it in the "FS9" Main Root directory and also in the "Modules/Activesky 2004" dirctory.I cannot get the program running. Help!!!!Thanks

Hello and Welcome,It should NOT be in the main root directory, only in the AS2004 sub directory. Delete to one and see if that works. If not, un-install and re-install. Please let us know how things turn out!Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support

Let me be a little more explanatory. A friend and I traded softwares. An aircraft for a copy of his AS2004. I have the Activessky 2004 and ActiveRadar Folders in the FS9/Modules Folder. I have the "Chillkat.dll" located in the FS9/Modules Folder. The AS2004.ini Module is in the Activesky 2004 Folder in the FS9/Modules Directory.I am getting the "Initialization Error-Check your ini file!" when trying to start the program. Thanks, scrayton

OK, we will not get into license issues by what you guys did. The chillkat.dll file should be in the main FS directory. I say un-install and re-install.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support
