February 18, 200422 yr Hi thereIt is impossible for me to fly this evening with AS2004. Just after take off from EKCH my EGT falls to -50 degrees or so. I get a engine failure on both engines. My airspeed goes to 900 knots, but the aircraft is almost standing still in the air? If I do a CTRL+Z the wind speed seems ok. I closed AS2004 and did a "clear all weather" in FSUIPC. Then everything went back to normal. Then I restarted my PC - downloaded the weather in AS2004 and tried again - but the same thing happend. Any idea? I have not seen this before. And I am wondering how AS2004 can do this? How can it get my airspeed to go to 900 knots without FS9 detecting that wind?BrSteen
February 18, 200422 yr I just tried again with another aircraft and took some screenshots. The temp goes from -139 degrees in 400 feet to +99 degrees in 1100 feet. :DAt the runway everything seems okay. But just after takeoff this happends with the temp. From 2 degrees to 124 degrees in 1 second.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/63526.jpgThen I get a engine failure and the temp is falling fasthttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/63527.jpgThen the temp is dropping to -102 degreeshttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/63529.jpgThe aircraft is totally impossible to fly when this happends. I have now crashed 5 times.BrSteen

February 18, 200422 yr Hi guys! I noticed the same problem too. Want to make a trip with the Ju52 around Punta Arenas (SCCI), just after take off in about 2,500 feet altitude, the aircraft speed suddenly rises up to 500 knots, then i lost control of it, and it crashed on the ground. Afterwards i restarted the flight and it crashed again.Looking in the aloft tab, i saw this strange aloft report.FL030: 225/00 (-2730,0) FL060: 225/00 (-2730,0) FL090: 225/00 (-2730,0)FL120: 225/00 (-2730,0) FL180: 225/00 (-2730,0) FL240: 225/00 (-2730,0)FL300: 225/00 (-2730,0) FL340: 225/00 (-2730,0) FL390: 225/00 (-2730,0) ***Route-Based Wind Smoothing features enabled - processed data may not match real-time reports!***For absolute accurate data, turn off Wind Smoothing...May that be the reason for the strange flying behavior of the aircraft? Any Ideas?Kind regards: George D.EDIT: Sorry for my English.
February 18, 200422 yr Hi All,Well this makes 4 posts in a row all reporting the same problem! I guess this means that people are using our program! It looked to me to be a data problem somewhere along the way. I am flying at 2400Z and temp. data is normal. We do appreciate everyone's reports! Let's just watch for this to happen again.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support
