AS2004 Connector problem, Jim, or anybody

Featured Replies

Hi all,THE GOOD NEWSI just wanted to say that I have had the new mri conector to work, for AS2004. I am using a wideFS configuration.----------THE BAD NEWS after a fresh install on both machinesWhen I run the connector via a mapped drive to the widefs machine (C:INSTALLDIR) I get the error saying Connector 2projProgram error..exiting (verify proper file locations and mapped drive to the root or widefs/as2004 machine)-----------details nowI do have widefs working and is able to connect to FS2004, I have deleted the FSUIPC config file and let it rebuild itself.I have mapped a drive letter from the FS machine to the widefs machine (C:INSTALLDIR), I also have this folder (which is on the widefs machine) shared.I have installed wxre1.92 (needed)I then installed AS2004then installed the mri update I set minium defaults in fsuipc and default options in AS2004I then use windows explorer and use the map root to get to the connector program, which I do get to. I click on the connector program and I get the error.I have tried the other option A11.EXE I cant remember the proper name for this exe program. This program is run on the FS machine where it is supposed to be run, I selected the (C:INSTALLDIR) on the widefs machine for installation folder. With this I have copied the Active sky folders and .dll file over manually to the FS machine, but the Radar gauge does not work. rebuilt the fsuipc config file but the gauge does not work. I must be missing the registery files.------------------------Can I just run AS2004 on the widefs machine and do not use the radar gauge. in other words do I have to run the connector for AS2004 main program to work. I still want to use the program but the connector does not work for me. I just wont use the radar gauge. It is mapped over like I did before when it did work, but for some reason it will not work.ThanksVincent

Hi Vincent,As you know this is not my area of knowledge, BUT, Damian is back and will stop by when he gets a chance.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support

I finally found the problem after 2 days.this worked for me:uninstalled everything to start freshinstalled AS2004set options in AS2004mapped a drive over to to the widefs machineran the old connector 2 programmanually copied activeradar folder and .dll over because it failedinstalled mr1 update and followed instructionslaunched AS2004 and set normal defaultsran new connector 2 program to update everythingI had no failed errorsHappy flying gangVincent

Just one more thing to add to this was that I was still not getting any radar returns and my plans were not being recognized. The first connector2 (old) failed so I manually copied the folders over to the modules folder.the second connector2 (new for mr1) said everything was ok,but I still had nothing working yet------so I again manually copied the Activeradar and .dll file over after installing the mr1 update. I now have radar returns and my fs2004 plan loads.---------------Just currious what I will have to do to get the next beta to work, with everything I have in place and working now.thanks Jim for your reply,Vincent

Good for you! Not sure yet, let's wait and see what the next MR holds for all of us.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support
