March 1, 200422 yr Getting a new computer setup with the old one relegated to file storage on my LAN. I have FS2002 and Active Sky wxRE 1.92 installed on the old machine and have put FS2004 on the new one. Now I'd like to upgrade to Active Sky 2004 for the new computer as well. The purchase info says that in order to take advantage of the upgrade discount pricing one must have the old version installed as you do the upgrade installation. I'd just as soon not have to put the older version on the new computer just to remove it again so I'm wondering if anyone knows if the upgrade installation will see the files it needs on a network drive or just what it looks for to proceed with the install - if it's just a key or config file or something that I can just move that over the new machine temporarily.TIA Steve
March 1, 200422 yr Hi Steve,Thanks for thinking about the upgrade. AFAIK you need to install, even for a bit, wxRE. It doesn't need to be upgraded or anything, just a base install. After the AS 2004 install, wxRE can be removed.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support
