March 14, 200422 yr Hi,This is probably a FS traffic fault but it might be fixable. I have FS9, Radar Contact, Active sky WXre 1.92 and FSUIPC v3.xx (registered). I have followed the setup instructions for WXre 1.92 and cleared all weather from FS9. I run WXre 1.92 and wait until it has finished the download (broadband). I then make sure that user defined weather is set on FS9 and watch the pressure and temperature change on the aircraft panel to make sure it is the same as the metar on Activesky. Most of the time FS ATIS gives the correct pressure and temperature and wind direction and speed as well as the other metar info. The problem is that it directs AI traffic to the wrong runways. Today at Manchester EGCC at 1420Z the wind was 23kts at 220 but it directed traffic to runway 06R which with a 23 kt tailwind could be a problem. Similarily I was being vectored to EGLL by Radar Contact and was given winds of 50kts at 260 I was correctly given runway 27L by Radar Contact but AI traffic was using 09L. I assume that the weather information is passed from Active sky to FSUIPC and Radar Contact gets it from there. On that occaison I asked for 09L and was spaced with the other AI traffic with a 50 kt tailwind, so I would not land against the AI stuff. Is there anyway to get FS ATC to use the correct runways for the given wind direction.ThanksMike
March 14, 200422 yr Once you've got your weather loaded, change the time to several minutes ahead. FS9 will reload the AI traffic and ATC will be using the proper runways. I think what happens is that if you start your flight with clear weather, then load weather with AS, ATC has already been initialized to use the calm wind runway.Mark Kuebeler
