ActiveSky Radar Inop

Featured Replies

Hey new guy here...sorry if I missed the answer to this question in the thousands of posts already here.I had FS2004 on my C: drive, had to move it to my D: drive and in the process lost ActiveSky 2004. I was able to download a replacement copy but since this happened my ActiveSky Radar isn't working anymore. If I file a flight plan or manually insert an ICAO or a wx reporting station it won't track, nor will it pick up anything on it's own. The situation screen and tracking screen remain blank regardless of the weather. Any ideas?

Hi Rick,Welcome! Moving software is usually not the best. The best is to re-install things from scratch onto the D: drive. Things to check:Is FSUIPC still installed in the FS/Modules folder? Is AS getting weather into FS?Please let us know how things work out.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg

Hey Jim, thanks for the reply. My FSUIPC is still in the FS/Modules folder, and working. It is starting up all secondary programs (AS, FSNavigator, AFCAD2)when I start up FS.AS is setting the weather in FS also.

Hey again Jim...disregard my problem, I figured it out. Your mention of FSUIPC got me thinking and I did some looking around and found a few problems.I went back to the old location of my FS and found the one folder that wasn't moved (or left a copy of itself for some reason) was the old Modules folder and the only 2 things in it were the FSUIPC.dll and ASRadar.dll files, which were different versions than what was in my new Modules folder on my D drive. I swapped them out and everything is working fine now. Thanks again for your help.Rick Tobin
