Problem getting route to load into Active Radar

Featured Replies

HiI am using AS with Wide FS; following the "rcommended order" instructions on page 12 of the AS manual, all is going well until I try to import the route thay I have just processed (without any problems) on the Wide FS machine into ActiveRadar. It simply won't load up.The routes I have been using have been created in both FSVAV and FS9's own flight planner, but this does not make any difference as to whether they load up in ActiveRadar.Any ideas on how to resolve this? Thanks in advance.Mike

Hi Mike,Just to review: In AR go to Planning, click on the blue MSFP button, browse to your native FS04 plan, click on it, and then click on the red Update button in AR. Are these the steps you are using?Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg

Yes, sure is. Does the process take long? I wait ages and nothing shows up....

For some strange reason I can't figure out, you have to load your MSFS flight plan into flight sim first, then save it using the same file name. Then you can load it into your Active Radar. No other way has worked for me..------------------------------------------------------------------Joe F."It's not the fall that kills ya. Hi there-Yes, ActiveRadar works fine (apart from the flight planning function); it shows my current airport and weather OK; and the radar also shows up clouds and precipitation accurately. What do you mean by "An exact FS plan"? I usually use FSNAV to create plans; I then export to FS9 before loading it up as a flight (and into Active Radar); realising that FSNAV plans may cause problems (due to the inclusion of fixes unrecognised by FS9), I have created plans using FS9 only and imported into Active Radar- but they still don't work either!I think I'll just delete Active Radar from FS9 and reinstall now, and see if that does the trick.M

Hi,By an exact FS plan I mean that if you use 3rd party software to plan the flight, you must open the flight in FS and re-save it, thus creating an exact FS plan.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
