ActiveSky wxRe and FSBuild - winds aloft

Featured Replies

I am having major drama trying to get FSBuild to apply the winds aloft data to the flight plans I'm building through it. It seems to apply the wind perfectly at my origin, and often at the destination, but never en-route.I have tried all sorts of permutations of settings to get it to work but I don't know whether it's an ActiveSky thing or an FSbuild thing. Either way, perhaps there's somebody here who has had the same problem.I'm using ActiveSky wxRE v1.92.4. The winds aloft appear to be fine during the briefings. I've tried importing the winds into FSBuild with all combinations of FSB/AS/FS2002 running. And using offline/online modes. As for FSBuild, I'm using v2.1.1 (build 154) for that. I have the ActiveSky path setup in the options, as well as the choice to use it for my weather source. And apply winds aloft is checked, of course! :)But no winds aloft data gets applied. If I try substituting the weather station for the ETA/ATA column (an FSBuild option), I get a weather station for the origin, but all subsequent waypoints have a blank for the weather station, and 000000 for the wind.If anyone can offer any advice, I'm all ears! Thank you.Matt

Hehehe, no problem Jim. I know a few of the guys here seem to use both so maybe one of them can suggest something.Apart from that, it's a great product and I've loved every minute of owning it. Although I did learn about the TurbulenceScale the hard way after a white-knuckle approach into CYYZ! :DKeep up the good work, thank you.
