June 28, 200421 yr Hi Folks,Yesterday I was flying everything was hunky dory, working like clockwork, then later-on I went and loaded everything as per normal and this time there was a MAJOR error in the winds aloft data. For all levels I'm getting 228/00 (-273.0) and as you can imagine, aeroplanes don't run too well in those conditions!! I get the correct wx on the ground and then after liftoff the OAT winds off at a chronic rate to rest on -99 deg C which is where the gauge stops reading!Whilst I understand that this maybe a temporary data error, or something on my end.... is there at least a switch in the command line I can use to force the program to ignore the upper temps given until I/we figure this bug.... I can ignore the upper winds but not the temps??I also have the bug with the radar not working with FSUIPC, however I hope that an upgrade to the newest version of FSUIPC will fix this!Anyone got any ideas on this one??Cheers
June 28, 200421 yr Hi,Welcome! As posted in another thread there was a problem with the aloft data this morning. All should be OK now. We are working on a fix for the future. This is a rare event!Need more details on your RADAR situation. What version of FSUIPC are you using now?Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
June 28, 200421 yr Jim,Thanks for the prompt reply... all fixed!Solutions... well the data was fixed... I just had old data because I wasn't in FS.Second I got the latest FSUIPC from Peter's site, and all fixed.... I have the unregistered version, so I just went though the bother of re registering the other programs, but to help fix the problem I just deleted the ini and reg files to make it start a fresh.Happy to report everything is working as it should.... however FS now crashed shortly after I levelled off in cruise... just a regular MS hiccup that I'm sure!
June 28, 200421 yr Glad you got it!Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
