July 25, 200421 yr Hello Activesky team,I found one little mistake in the program. It just probably uses old data. When I fly in Tallinn the weather is applied correctly from airport EETN. But when flying to west Estonia for example, the software does not take the weather anymore from EETN but some ULTT airport that is actually Russia and MAYBE was the old ICAO code of Tallinn airport when Estonia was under Russia more than 10 years ago :).
July 25, 200421 yr Hi,Remember that AS only uses valid weather. There are only 7 possible airports and only EETN had a valid METAR with my latest download. Then AS will use the closest station with a valid METAR.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
July 26, 200421 yr Nop... EETN is the only valid point, but note that ULTT does not exist anymore, but my ActiveSky still takes weather from there, seems like they have some point somewhere that is connected with ULTT and the weather is kinda similar to EETN, but such airport does NOT exist near Tallinn or west side of it. Im 101% sure. I must say that I can remember FS default weather also using the ULTT station, but would be nice to sort this out.
July 26, 200421 yr Hi,ULTT is on the weather station list and has a valid download so it does exist as a weather station.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
July 26, 200421 yr Hi,Looked around the web quite a bit and the best I can say is that they are one in the same. You may be right that the old code was ULTT.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
July 26, 200421 yr Georg,For my own peace of mind does this close this case out?Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
