Repost: Initial Load Time

Featured Replies

Damien/JimPer your suggestions I made some tweaks to my Wideclient and Wideserver times and was able to get my KORD load time down below 4 minutes. I then tried KLAX and got 1m 30s on the initial load. That time equates nicely with your results Damien.Just to be sure that things are as good as I can get them, would you do me a favor and do an initial load at KORD and see if your load times are also around 4 minutes. I suspect that KORD might an extremely dense reporting area (considering that KLAX has no reporting points to its west!).BTW: at KJFK the initial load time was about 6-7 minutes. Again - it could be that they are very dense weather reporting areas.-michael

>Hi,>>Just did a complete write at KORD in 47 seconds.>Went to KJFK and the write was 38 seconds.>>Hope this helps,>JimJim,Are those times based on AS running on the FS host or via WideFS?If it was with WideFS would you please post your WideClient.ini and WideServer.ini files (or send them to me at [email protected]).Thanks.-michael

Mike,On FS host. I don't run from a network. Just wanted to give you some target times. Damian and/or others will need to get back with you.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
