Hi,Overcast enhancement On in AS?Cloud cover 100% complex and maximum coverage set in FS?Framerate locked at a reasonable number for your system? If not, then FS will adjust some details.Remember that the METARs must have OVC in them.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg

this is the metar for Denmark today where it is overcast and rainyACTIVE METAR REPORTEKVA 131920Z 22008KT 8000 -RA SCT004 BKN010 BKN070 14/12 Q1000ACTIVE TAF REPORTEKVA 131650Z 131803 23020G30KT 9999 FEW020 SCT025 BKN050 PROB30 TEMPO 1803 6000 -SHRA FEW015 FEW018CB SCT020 BKN030 RMK AUTO GENERATED AS2004 RMK AUTO GENERATED AS2004ACTIVE ALOFTFL030: 214/44 (13.6) FL060: 219/47 (7.0) FL090: 222/43 (4.1)FL120: 216/42 (-4.1) FL180: 210/42 (-15.9) FL240: 210/44 (-27.9)FL300: 225/52 (-35.4) FL340: 239/92 (-53.4) FL390: 238/82 (-53.4)it is cloudy when at the airport, but when i fly throu the cloud layer and get above som of the layrs seems to dissapere, and when i get below again, the overcast arives just after passing the lowest layer??settings are as you told me too but what is OVC??can it affect anything, that i don't use the original cloud BMP??

Hi,Thanks for the data. It helps me because then I can see what AS is processing and what it may look like in FS. First answer, OVC stands for overcast. In your example you have no overcast, a layer of scattered clouds and 2 layers of broken clouds along with some light rain. From the airport I bet it looked like a solid cloud layer above you, but it was not. You took off and broke through the first layer and OMG you could still see the ground. That was the scattered layer. Then at 1000 you saw non-solid clouds and at 7000 once again non-solid clouds.Your add on cloud textures would not have any influence on this stuff! Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
